friday finds / sfgirlbybay

it would appear this week’s friday finds are all about the blues. but not in a sad or bad way (i’m actually feeling quite optimistic these days), i’m just feeling the blue hue in its very best light, which is to say, i love the moody shades of classic blue can achieve in decor. always stylish, sophisticated, and slightly romantic. here’s hoping for a great weekend, everyone. rest up, relax and see you monday!

xo, victoria

  1. i know this kitchen is very kitschy and a little bit over the top, but i love it nonetheless. doesn’t it look like a happy place to cook, with that vintage goddess watching over you? and i always love an unexpected portrait painting making a kitchen appearance!
  2. the very beautiful atelier solarshop in antwerp, belgium looks like it’s well worth the trip. At any given time, there may be a pop-up shop, a restaurant, and an art gallery operating there, in addition to a regular studio workspace. i can’t wait to travel again. sigh.
  3. these vintage paper patterns make my heart go pitter-pat. i’d love to turn them into fabrics and create a whole pillow collection.
  4. this charming room with its navy blue velvet sofa paired with an industrial-chic loft feeling has always been a favorite look of mine, and well ahead of the blue velvet curve.
  5. from blah to blue! should you need to give a room a bit of oompf might i suggest a coat of bold blue paint? and not just on your walls — this color looks smashing and pretty much makes this vintage dresser go from ordinary to alrighty!
  6. i’m always a big fan of leaning artwork against our walls for an effortlessly chic look. this apartment featured in milk decoration does it perfectly and milk remains a constant if not number one source of decor inspiration for me.
  7. i’ve always loved this Raphael wallpaper pattern and would love to see it in a child’s bedroom, or perhaps a small powder room — such a romantic and beautiful treetop pattern. if you’re seeking wallpaper i highly suggest having a look at sandberg wallpapers — they’re the chicest around.
  8. here’s another gorgeous hotel to put on our wish lists — the Little Beach House Barcelona featured on one of my favorite travel resources — afarmedia. if you don’t follow them i highly suggest you do!
